Announcing Posties
September 19, 2006
The PayPerPost fiasco has begun and these are the hardest working blogs around. Props to all the people who make blogging possible and the bloggers themselves. Many individuals have linked to me through the Postie association, so thank you.
Everyone keep up the good work.

A Geek Up North
September 9, 2006
The occasional rants and raves of a web and multimedia geek based in the north of England.
Trials and Tribulations of a Digital GeekĀ
This is simply a phenomenal read on aspects of design and conflicts of website navigation and marketing. Keep in mind what your visitors see is not what meets your eye, get ranted on by this geek.
Indexed by Old Bag
September 8, 2006
It’s hard to say exactly what emotion this blog will envoke, it depends on the person. For me, I literally laughed out loud and decided I shouldn’t eat asbestos given to me by a stranger.
Get Indexed by Old Bag and see what you think about the latest index cards of sense.
I love Nuns
September 6, 2006
…rather I love this Nun, a blogging Nun. Is N in Nun supposed to be capitalized? Silly question, from a silly person, who fell in love with the writing styles of this particular being.
I’m not much of a religious person, although I do have faith, you don’t need to be Catholic to appreciate what this woman has to say. This particular post on “how to get out of being a nun” attracted my attention. Thank you Julie for giving us a glimpse of the emotions and events that you go through.
Polluted Blog
September 5, 2006
Admittedly this blog is not one that was found by using the ‘next’ button, rather this is a fellow poster at a forum I frequent. Brian, of Polluted Art, had a simple idea and has turned it into something extraordinary.
The idea is simple, there is pollution everywhere and this blog chronicles the visual and environmental damages it can cause. The aesthetic damages can be quite powerful and beautiful at the same time, envoking emotion is what Brian’s eye does best.
Now if we can just get him to update his blog more often.
Political Footnotes
September 5, 2006
Political footnotes or Marginal Footnotes? Al Gore is stealing our babies and using the liberal fear platform to further their agenda. Unfortunately, there is so much propaganda, mud slinging, and general confusion that it’d take an eternity to read all of it and decipher.
Marginal Footnotes comes in and breaks it down, focusing on the most important aspects of the day or bringing to light something we may have missed. This once self proclaimed, low-level lobbyist spits the truth or at least a version thereof.
Be Found, use Directories
September 5, 2006
Submitting your blog to link directories is the fastest and easiest way to gain popularity amongst the search engines. However, in a sea of sameness, there are those that are more important. BOTW.org is one such directory.
Although they charge a premium for their listing, $149 editorial review, they have a Blog only directory that is free to submit to. This listing is free and can get your blog indexed in google fast and bring visitors along with them.
Following the Next Button
September 5, 2006
Everyone has a few sites that they frequent and possible even fewer that they comment on. However, how many times do you blindly surf the net and give yourself the opportunity to find something great? Less websavvy people are just as interesting as those who know how to be found.
This blog will explore the ‘next’ button and what it has to offer. Reviews of what’s found, comments, and posts will be archived here so hopefully others will follow along.
